Meet our new instructor: Tyler Nansen

We are thrilled to introduce our new ceramics instructor, Tyler Nansen!

Tyler Nansen, artist and sculptor, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his BA in Ceramics from San Francisco State University in 2011 and his MFA in Sculpture and Ceramics from the University of Montana, Missoula in 2015. Nansen’s travel and creative experiences, which include artist residencies at the Sonoma Community Center, Medalta in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Blackfoot Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild, Lincoln, MT, fuel his artistic process. Works conceived during these residencies and in his greater artistic practice range from functional pottery to installation-based sculptures and outdoor works.

Tyler is teaching the Handbuilding ceramics class from 7 – 9pm on Wednesdays January 12th – March 1st and the Mold Making class on Mondays from 5:30 – 7:30pm March 27th – May 15th.
