Masks are optional starting March 28th

Based on new CDC guidelines and recommendations we’ve received from the Lawrence Douglas County Health Department; the Lawrence Arts Center has updated its mask recommendations.

Starting March 28th face masks will no longer be required to enter our building. However, students and staff in the Preschool and Kindergarten will continue to wear masks because the people involved in these programs are considered a vulnerable population.  We continue to encourage anyone that is most comfortable wearing a face mask while at the Lawrence Arts Center to continue to do so. Any person that is at a high risk for severe illness also continues to be encouraged to wear a mask and take other precautions. Click here to read our updated health and safety policy.

Because we care deeply about the wellbeing of everyone in this community, we will continue to update our practices and policies according to current guidelines and conditions. We will continue to follow guidance from our health officials, take all necessary precautions and adjust our practices in the interest of preserving public health.

The Lawrence Arts Center is grateful for for the understanding, patience and resilience this community has shown throughout this pandemic. As we move with hope into brighter times, here at the Arts Center we see that this pandemic has not exhausted our dedication to connecting people through the arts. It has energized it. Thank you for sticking with us.
