March 12: Lawrence Dance Intensive Scholarship Audition

The Lawrence Dance Intensive provides regional dancers with professional dance instruction from world-class teachers and choreographers. This intensive is a partnership between the Kansas University Dance Department and the Lawrence Arts Center School of Dance, and is based on an interdisciplinary curriculum that focuses on preparing students for the demands of a professional career. It is a place where dancers develop their artistry!

Scholarship Auditions

Sunday, February 5, 2-3:30PM at the Lawrence Arts Center, Studio 206
Sunday, March 12, 2:30-4PM at the University of Kansas, Robinson Center

 

Enrollment and Tuition: Students must be between the ages of 12-21 years and dancing at an Intermediate/Advanced level with at least two years prior dance experience. Enrollment, Merit Scholarships, and Financial Aid are handled via the Lawrence Arts Center.

Placement Session: On the first day of the intensive, students will be placed into one of three technical levels. Dancers enrolled in the full intensive will have additional rehearsals led by one of three choreographers and will perform in a final showcase open to the public on June 16th.
