Don’t miss this one time chance to take a workshop with nationally renowned printmaker, Emmy Lingscheit. In Relief Printing T-shirts & Textiles, you will design, carve, and print wearables in a single day. Working with linoleum and permanent textile ink, this class will explore black-and-white image composition as well as techniques for developing and printing repeating patterns. Collaborative designs and sharing of blocks is encouraged. Make unique shirts, gifts, and fashions that will impress!
The workshop is Saturday, June 23rd from 9am-5pm with a break for lunch.
About the Artist:
Emmy Lingscheit is an interdisciplinary artist and printmaker whose work investigates the ambiguities and exchanges between organisms and non-organisms, humans and non-humans. She has held numerous artist residencies, including Ucross and Kohler Arts/Industry, and exhibits widely. Her work has been exhibited recently at Davidson Galleries in Seattle, WA, The International Print Center in New York, NY, and the Lithographic Academy in Tidaholm, Sweden, as well as in a solo exhibition at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI. https://www.emmylingscheit.com/
