The first Benefit Art Auction took place in the Carnegie Building and set the stage to support free exhibitions for 40 years strong. Board members provided snacks, artists were communicated with by phone or in-person visits, and the collars were a little bit larger, but the heart of the event remains the same- a time for artists and art-lovers to celebrate the work of artists, year-round exhibitions, and art experiences in our community. While this year sure looks a little different than most, the auction perseveres with almost 200 pieces of original art ready for their forever homes. To top it off, we’ll end with a virtual event on July 18… details coming soon!
