DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to continue our Healing Arts Collaborative in partnership with Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Visit the LMH Main Campus at 330 Arkansas Street to admire works by local artist Marty Olson! Marty Olson works in watercolor, acrylic, inks, and other water-based mediums. The works featured in his show, In the Mix, represent recent themes and images of climate, hospitality, succulents and his backyard. Color is essential in representing these themes and provides a certain continuity in the creative process. Artist Biography Marty Olson is a two-dimensional artist from Lawrence, KS, who derives his imagery from a mix of his environment and what comes from meditations. His artwork is in private collections around the country and locally. His ceaseless drive to create has led to his receiving of the Phoenix Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement in 2015. LMH Health Main Campus Gallery 330 Arkansas Street Main Floor near the Gold Door Elevators Open for public viewing: Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday: Noon to 4:00 p.m. This collaboration between the Lawrence Arts Center and LMH Health is made possible through a grant provided by the Kansas Creative Arts Industry Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
