DESCRIPTION:Join us on November 1st for a FREE lobby concert from KU instrumentalist, Nic Weaver and friends! Nic Weaver is a Kansas City-based trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer currently studying music at the University of Kansas. Blurring the line between jazz and chamber music, Nic’s compositions and arrangements have been performed worldwide at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan with The Midway Brass (2025), and across Spain with the KU Jazz Ensemble I (2024). In addition to performing and composing, Nic spends time recording music across diverse genres. He has recorded for clients across 50 different countries on trumpet, trombone, French horn, saxophone, and piano.
