Quote the Raven, the acclaimed Canadian duo of Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke, have been enchanting audiences with their haunting harmonies and sharp wit for over a decade. Originating from Newfoundland and Labrador, their unique blend of Americana and East Coast folk has garnered them widespread recognition. Their sophomore album, Can’t Hold the Light, which delves into the lives of working musicians, won the 2022 East Coast Music Award (ECMA) for Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year and received two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations. The duo has also been honoured as Music Newfoundland & Labrador’s Group of the Year in 2019, 2021, and 2022. In 2025, Quote the Raven received multiple ECMA nominations, including Album of the Year for their upcoming release, Map the Dark, and Roots Release of the Year for their single “Already Gone.” Additionally, their music video for “Already Gone,” directed by Cody Westman, was nominated for Video of the Year (Fans’ Choice).
