I love working at the Arts Center! No day is the same and each one is filled with exciting educational connections for the students who come through our doors. The spirit of our educational programs is to provide experiential learning in the arts that is fun, engaging, and innovative. Whether they are learning hard skills by installing self-generated art shows or creating sculptural seed pods that can fly in the wind, our students are practicing in the space between art and physics.
We have two positions open on our education team and are looking for creative, organized, mentally limber, and experienced applicants. Our first position is for an Education Coordinator who will be an administrative assistant for both Adult and Youth Education Directors. This position requires 30 hours a week and provides benefits.
Our second open position is for a Lead STEAM Instructor. Applicants should have elementary education experience and be able to develop lessons in a project-based, design thinking classroom. Classes will be in partnership with the Arts Center and Boys and Girl Club. Our STEAM program was a 2017 finalist for a National Arts and Humanities award and is an NEA grant recipient.
We will be accepting applications through July 7. Come be a part of a very fun and creative team!
