KU piano concert

In a most unusual setting utilizing multiple pianos on the stage, KU pianists perform musical gems for duo piano and multi-piano ensembles by the composers: Lavignac, Moszkowski, Milhaud, Saint Saens, Debussy, Faure, and Beethoven. The final piece, “Turkish March” by Beethoven, is a rollicking rendition played on multiple pianos. The performers are graduate-level piano students studying with KU piano faculty Dr. Yi-Yang Chen, Dr. Michael Kirkendoll, and Dr. Scott McBride Smith. This free program is 35 minutes long and suitable for families and pianists of all ages. General seating.
