Summer Youth Theatre is a performance-based theatre art program for youth grades 1 through 12.  Professional directors, choreographers, musicians, and theatre technicians observe Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts National Theatre Education Standards while working with youth to produce high quality shows performed for enthusiastic, often sold out audiences.  Most importantly, SYT youth have fun, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime!

Auditions:  Prepared audition is expected.  Please call the Arts Center, 785.843.2787 to sign up for a one hour time slot in advance.

Actors/Singers Grades 4-12:  2PM, 3PM, or 4PM

Actors/Singers should prepare a monologue under 1 minute and 16 bars of a Broadway or popular song.  Accompanist will be provided; please bring sheet music.  Dress freely with dance or tennis shoes.  All Actor/Singers will participate in dance audition.
