Do you have a story about love?

We are gathering stories from the community to showcase on our Mainstage for our upcoming production of Lawrence Love Letters.

We are specifically interested in stories from ages 65+ but are open to hear stories from anyone!

Stories can range from any type of love…love of your pet, family, romantic love, unrequited love, forbidden love, love of a place, love of an object, love gone wrong, hopeless romance, and anything else that makes sense about how you view love.

How do I submit my story?

Submit Your Story Here or call Elizabeth at 785-843-2787

How will the stories be used?

Storytellers will have an opportunity to tell, read, or perform their story live or recorded as part of the public performance.

The goal is to gather 10-20 recordings, some of these recordings will be showcased through pre-show audio, live, or video during the show.

What will the performance be like?

Lawrence Love Letters is a performance and storytelling project centered on stories of love in our community that asks the following questions, “What does love look like? What does love sound like? What does love smell like? What does love feel like? What does love taste like?” We will explore these questions in a performance directly inspired by the ideas, sounds, words, stories, songs, and movement of local musicians, dancers, creative aging populations aged 65+ and youth ages 12-18.
