The Lorax, “who speaks for the trees,” is a famed fable by Dr. Seuss. This year, the timely tale will be told through Modern and Contemporary dance as a part of our Double Feature. The story follows a young boy as he listens to the tale of the Lifted Lorax and a factory that kept on “biggering” by chopping down the colorful Truffula forest, as told by the ancient Once-ler. With delightful designs by Juniper Tangpuz, and artistic direction by Eleanor Goudie-Averill, the story will show us what might happen UNLESS…
Rehearsals: Dancers enrolled in Contemporary I-III and Modern I-II classes will rehearse during their class time. Lead roles will rehearse outside of class time.
