ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kuok-Wai Lio is a Macau-born pianist who is praised as a “musician’s musician” and a “sensitive player.” He is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and has studied under many renowned musicians, including Gabriel Kwok, Gary Graffman, Boris Berman, and Stanislav Ioudenitch. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician worldwide, and has played at venues such as Carnegie Hall and Tonhalle Zurich. Lio has received numerous awards, including the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Fulbright Concerto Competition.
