Timothy Forcade’s work is influenced by light and its imprint. “What Was Once Uniform” is an attempt to present the exact vibrancy and detail of an artificially-lighted studio photograph and its post-processed finished image. This rag paper print wet-mounted on a wooden panel and coated with acrylic varnish has surface variations that speak to the source image.

Forcade is part of the Forty Years of Featured Artists exhibition, showcasing artists whose work has been spotlighted in annual Benefit Art Auctions going back to 1981. He was the featured artist in 2008.
