Stephen T. Johnson was handed the acronym STJ by his drawing students. He now uses it to define the three pillars of his creative framework, Subject, Transformation, and Joy: the transformation of the subject into a physical reality (paintings, collages, mosaics, sculpture, etc.), the joy he receives through the process of making.
