Amy Cousins Picture

Amy Cousins is an interdisciplinary artist from Houston, Texas who currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the Tyler School of Art and a BFA in Printmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been exhibited nationally at venues including Washington Printmaker’s Gallery, Silver Spring, Maryland; Vox Populi, Philadelphia; Moore College of Art, Philadelphia; Visual Arts Center at Boise State University, Idaho; Peephole Cinema, San Francisco; and IS Projects, Fort Lauderdale. In 2016, Cousins won the Curator’s Choice Award for Beyond the Norm: An International Juried Print Exhibition, which was organized by Normal Editions Workshop to celebrate their 40th anniversary and hosted by University Galleries at Illinois State, where she exhibited a solo show in 2017. Cousins was an artist-in-residence at Illinois State University in 2018 and at ACRE Residency in 2019.
