Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys

For the past twenty years, Chuck Mead has been at the forefront of what has come to be known as Americana Music. Raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Chuck has been a professional musician since the age of 13, playing in his parents’ country band and then leading several roots rock outfits in the Midwest, most notably the Homestead Grays. He landed on Nashville’s Lower Broadway in 1993 where he co-founded the famed ‘90s Alternative Country quintet BR5-49. He has released three solo works starting in 2009 with his acclaimed solo debut album, Journeyman’s Wager on the Grassy Knoll Records label, and continues tour clubs, concert halls and international Rock, Country and Rockabilly festivals with his band, The Grassy Knoll Boys.

Kansas City Bear Fighters

Founded in the cruel winter of 2007, The Kansas City Bear Fighters first took shape as one lonely man’s homage to music as a salve for the soul. Originally, the group performed under the nom de plume “The Denver Broncos” which many considered to be the product of one man’s struggling and genius search for a fire that could crack the deep cavernous walls of his soul. The crooners play regularly throughout the Midwest.

The Freedom Affair

A brand new funk and soul experience, The Freedom Affair from Kansas City is turning heads and moving hips with their all-original, yet old-school approach. The band features three powerhouse vocalists up front, who can individually hold their own as soloists or knock down walls as a collective unit. Providing a tight foundation behind them is an impressive assemblage of some of the Midwest’s funkiest, heavy-hitting instrumentalists. The Freedom Affair is not merely another band, it’s a SHOW and it’s an experience that is not to be missed!
