Creative Youth Development Programs
The Lawrence Arts Center offers a place for young people in 6th through 12th grades to immerse themselves in project-based, creative environments where they can develop real-world experience and hands-on arts-based job skills. Creative Youth Development Programs include:
- HANG12 provides students with the opportunity to plan, curate, and host youth exhibitions in Downtown Lawrence every final Friday. Click here for exhibitions.
- PLAY12 brings students together to produce a public performance–whether dance, music, or theatre–each month.
- stARTup gives students the professional training and materials they need to jumpstart a career as a visual artist.
Students age 14+ are also welcome in adult classes, unless otherwise indicated in the description.
