Explore the elegant and fluid movements of Chinese Classical Dance in this fundamentals class. This ancient art form, rich in history and tradition, emphasizes grace, storytelling, and expressive gestures, drawing from centuries of cultural heritage. You'll experience a blend of influences, including folk dance, martial arts, ballet, and Chinese opera, allowing you to appreciate the depth and variety of this unique style. Key elements include footwork, dynamic poses, and using breath to enhance movement. Prior dance experience is recommended but not required.

No class March 13 & 20. This class will participate in the EOYS on May 16-17.

Those enrolling are expected to be familiar with general policies, attire, and opportunities outlined in the School of Dance Handbook.

This class accepts Drop-In Dance Cards. Details can be found on the School of Dance main page.
