Eleanor Goudie-Averill
2015/16 Dance Education Artist in Residence

Eleanor Goudie-Averill is currently the Associate Director of Dance at the Lawrence Arts Center and a professor of Modern I-III at the University of Kansas. She initially returned to Kansas as an Artist-in-Residence at the Arts Center in 2015, providing dance outreach to over twenty local schools and organizations and choreographing for many productions, including her new version of Peter and the Wolf.  Since graduating with her MFA in Dance Performance from the University of Iowa in 2007, Ellie has served as a visiting professor at the University of Iowa, Bucknell University, and Franklin & Marshall College, and as an adjunct professor for several years at Temple University in Philadelphia.  She currently performs for Tori Lawrence + Co. in dance films and site-specific works.
