Digital art for young artists…
Intro to Digital Arts teaching-artist, Yekyoung Kim, will introduce students to a world of digital design software and how to use the tools, shortcuts, and effects to create original works of art. Yekyoung Kim is a University of Kansas Illustration & Animation graduate who enjoys making art, comics, and animation. Check out their work HERE!
Art Making on the Weekend…
Family Pottery is an Arts Center staple for families looking to create together on Saturdays! Family Pottery enrollment includes enrollment for one child and one adult student. Young artists looking to create on their own and meet new friends should consider Culture Connections and Art Made Easy! Culture Connections will introduce students to a variety of studio practices and make connects to the work of artists around the world! Students will take inspiration from underrepresented artists to create artworks that express their own unique experiences. Art Made Easy is the designed to introduce students to the elements and principles of art through the creation of finished artworks. class for any student looking to add lots artist tips and tricks to their own toolbox.
Wednesday Daytime Classes…
Two day-time classes will be held simultaneously on Wednesday afternoons for students ages 6-8 and 9-12. Both classes meet on Wednesdays, 2-3:30pm. Themes for these Wednesday classes will swap age groups in the Spring with varied instruction and extensions to meet the abilities and experience of every artist!
