Youth Visual Arts in Full Swing this Fall

Two children color flowers with a marker.

Happy first day of fall! Here at the Lawrence Arts Center we have just finished up our second week of fall youth classes. Times are crazy right now, but here in the studios we are trying to slow it down and nurture the creative process within our young people. More than ever, kids need a safe relaxing environment where they can just make art.

“My daughter is taking an in-person painting and drawing class at LAC and it is filling her soul. I know it wasn’t an easy decision to have in-person classes and I can only imagine all of the agonizing over new processes and procedures, but I am so glad you did. Thank you to you and your staff and the invaluable treasure you offer our community.”
– Erika Zimmerman, Parent

With a mix of virtual, in-person and hybrid class offerings, we are here to meet the needs of our community in safe and fun ways. If you’re more comfortable making art at home and not interested in adding yet another Zoom meeting to your calendar, we even have Art a la Carte Kits that can be done at your own pace with simple instructions and all supplies included! So, whether you join us in our studios or are make art on your kitchen table, we hope this fall season finds you staying healthy, staying safe and staying CREATIVE.
