Locked in the house with nowhere to get your groove on? Have a house full of toddlers with energy to spare? Looking for a dance party with all the fun but none of the germs? Join us at the Douglas County Fairgrounds and find a party to fit your needs!
This month the Lawrence Arts Center will again be commandeering the fairgrounds stage, this time for a day filled with outdoor dancing to the stylings of DJ Braden Young. Daytime will offer opportunities for families with children, while the evening party will be open to people of all ages. Dance on the lawn while socially distanced or dance in your car for an even more intimate experience!
Gates open 30 minutes before each Baby Disco party, a dance event for very young children and their families. Dress up and bring your own hula hoops, bubbles, and ribbons to swing and sway on the dance floor. There will be four 45-minute parties scheduled throughout the day.
Following the final Baby Disco event, we will open gates at 7 p.m. for Dusk to Dark, a dance party for all ages. Listen to music in your car or show your moves at a socially safe distance 16 feet apart. The adult party is scheduled to begin at 7:30, and will last for approximately an hour.
Space is limited at each event and will be assigned first come, first served. Don’t miss the chance to shake your groove thing one last time this fall!
