Drawing Lawrence with Kent Smith
Friday, September 11 – October 30, 10:00AM – 12:00PM
Students will be encouraged to venture out to various landmarks in Lawrence to draw and sketch the character of each place. The instructor will work with students to develop skills in gesture, perspective, value, color, and composition. This class may try to meet in person on occasion if it is safe to do so.
This class has a non-refundable supply kit fee included of $40. Instructions on how to pick up the kit will be sent out before the class starts. This class may try to meet in person on occasion.
Hand Lettering with Nicholas Stahl
Wednesday, September 9 – December 2, 7:00PM – 9:00PM
From basic to bold, this class takes a beginner-friendly, step-by-step approach to progressing your lettering skills. During this course you will become familiar with multiple lettering styles including serif, sans serif, slab serif, and script. Then, learn to combine those styles through hierarchy, layout and composition.
