Youth Education Update

Boxes labeled “sculpture engineers” sit stacked in a hallway.

A quick update from your friends in Youth Education!

Virtual art camps are underway via Zoom, and plans are in place for those to continue as we move into summer. This has been a new challenge, and we are so thankful for the young artists who are joining us on this crazy ride!

On June 15 we began limited on-site programming with small groups of students. These classes are being conducted in strict accordance with protocols set forth by the State of Kansas and Douglas County. The health of our students and community is of utmost importance to us, so we are being especially mindful about our physical spaces, as well as how we interact with each other. We will continue to follow all guidelines and evolve as safety permits.

This past week we finished packaging almost all of the 300 elementary kits for each of our 10 weeks of instruction! These kits can be purchased as a Virtual Camp with a Kit or A La Carte! To Zoom or not to Zoom? The answer to the question is up to you….

We hope you are staying safe and creative!
