Dear Families, Friends, and Patrons,
We miss you! Not being surrounded by our creative community has made finding our way through this “new normal” especially difficult. We believe in the power of the arts to sustain our communities and keep us connected, especially in times of difficulty. We recognize that this public health crisis is even more than a medical emergency; it presents a challenge to all that holds us together.
Therefore, rather than call it quits during the closure of our building, we’ve decided to embrace our inventiveness and flex our creative muscles by bringing the arts to you through virtual experiences. We invite you to join us on this new adventure.
We are working hard to create fun and exciting opportunities for our community. Exciting things such as Story Slam Virtual Edition, A Virtual Serial: The Silent One; a Climate Change Street Opera, Summer Youth Theatre Digital Auditions, School of Theatre & Music online classes, digital play readings, storytelling platforms, and interactive games are coming your way. Additionally, we know how much community means and we want to continue to foster that spirit by continued collaborative experiences. Stay tuned to check out our Performance Share and Storytelling Platform for ways to submit sharings virtually with others.
We are flexible, adaptive, and focused on continuing to be a creative center for our community. We hope to emerge from this experience in true Lawrence style; healthy, hardy, and better than ever. We’re looking forward to seeing you, in-person, soon.
Until then,
Margaret Weisbrod Morris, CEO
Elizabeth Sullivan, Director of Performing Arts
Amanda Pintore, Associate Director of Performing Arts & Education
Samaria Fleig, Technical Director & Production Manager
