Details for the 2020 School of Dance End-of-Year Showcase 2020:
This annual event celebrates the achievement of the School of Dance students through senior solos and class-based performances. Students enrolled in youth classes are required to confirm their participation at the time of class enrollment. Youth student participation is free and includes 1 comp ticket. Adult class participation will be decided in-class. Visit the School of Dance website and see End-of-Year Showcase for more details. Additional tickets can be purchased for $12 starting April 1. Students may change their participation prior to March 1, with no fee. Participation status changes after March 1 results in a $25 fee.
Jan. 7-8| The Snow Queen Auditions – Mainstage
Calling ballet dancers Grades 1-12 and Adults. The production will feature a cast of over 100 actors, dancers, and singers of all ages. Visit the audition page for details and make sure to fill out your audition form ahead of time! Dancers should plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to audition time, in appropriate dance attire and ready to move. List ALL conflicts on your audition form!

Join us as we begin the new semester. Stop by to meet and chat with Hanan Misko, School of Dance Director, and Program Coordinator Amy Hope. We will be in the lobby greeting dance families and available for questions.

Swap your outgrown leotards, jazz pants, and dance shoes for something new-ish! This event is donation based, so we cannot guarantee item availability. All items are FREE, but the swap works best when folks bring something to exchange.
January 26 & March 22 | Lawrence Dance Intensive Scholarship Auditions and Video Audition Submission
For Intermediate/Advanced dancers ages 12-21 with at least two years of prior ballet training. No pre-audition screening required.
Join us this summer for a remarkable dance experience on the campus of the University of Kansas. A diverse and well-balanced curriculum, this program strives to develop the artists of tomorrow. A collaboration between the Lawrence Arts Center and the University of Kansas Department of Theatre and Dance, this two-week ballet intensive provides dancers with world-class instruction by accomplished faculty, guest artists, and choreographers. Full Intensive students have the option of staying in dormitories on KU’s beautiful campus.
