From Nutcracker to Muttcracker… Arts Center Dancers Visit the Lawrence Humane Society

A child dressed as a mouse pets a large dog

Our production of The Nutcracker has long featured Kansas prairie animals like mice, snakes, and grasshoppers, but what about the dogs and cats? Well, this year, we partnered with our friends at the Lawrence Humane Society and jumped on the Muttcracker bandwagon. Follow us on social media as all this week we’ll feature our Nutcracker dancers with adoptable furry friends. Today’s Muttcracker post spotlights the magnificent Great Dane Fergus posed with charming mouse, Amelia!

Stop by the Lawrence Humane Society to meet lots of adoptable animals and be sure to get your tickets to The Nutcracker: A Kansas Ballet opening this Friday!
