Get your jazz hands ready, SYT’s Chicago performs July 25th-28th and tickets are on sale now!
“This is one of those musicals that takes you song by song through the narrative. There are 14 major singing numbers, but there are also dance numbers with no singing. We have a fun tap number and a fast-paced dance called The Hot Honey Rag. The major pulse of the show is driven by music.”
– Amanda Pintore, Director
This ambitious musical production is the result of weeks of creativity, camaraderie, and preparation. Shaza Al-kassim, who plays the character of Cecily, has greatly enjoyed her very first Summer Youth Theatre experience. “Everyone in this production has been helpful and supportive. They’ve been the best to work with!”
Jasper Mumford has been part of SYT for close to ten years and found something special in the role of Amos Heart. “I have my own song, I get to sing ‘Mr. Cellophane’ which is a classic.”
