Do you like painting? Drawing? Working with found materials? Here’s your chance to explore a non-toxic printmaking method and use it as a catalyst for your personal creative expression. This spring, join self-taught artist Eliza Bullock in her inaugural class at the Lawrence Arts Center. Students will explore a variety of materials and media in combination with Monotype printmaking to create their own works of art.
In the class, you’ll learn the fundamentals and materials used in monotype printmaking, determine how to translate your personal methods into the monotype process, be introduced to incorporating collage and assemblage elements into your works, and see examples of monotypes and the artists using the method in their practices.
All backgrounds and experience levels encouraged to participate in this highly forgiving, flexible, adaptive process. Eliza’s class meets on Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm, beginning March 30th.
