“Dance was in my heart from an early age. Like many young girls, I dreamed of being a ballerina. A knee surgery in high school led to a love and admiration for physical therapy. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Exercise Science in 2000. After working in a physical therapy setting for a few years, Pilates introduced itself to me. It has married my love for movement and science so seamlessly. I have taught rehab based Pilates classes in Lawrence and Topeka for thirteen years. In those years, I have had the opportunity to study and practice different styles ranging from injury rehab to injury prevention pertaining to dancers, chronic trauma, and Pilates for basic well-being and health. The importance of movement cannot be overstated as part of our whole health. It is an honor to help others move through life and discover wellness.”
