K-3rd Theatre Classes Now Enrolling for Spring

Have you made it through the busy part of winter and started looking for new spring opportunities? Do you wish there was a place for kids to meet new friends and explore worlds of their imagination? Have you seen pictures of theatre classes at the Lawrence Arts Center and wanted to join the fun? Look no further! Intro to Improv for Kids and Woodland Fairies! are now enrolling for the spring session.

Students in Intro to Improv for Kids will grow their confidence, ability to speak up, and teamwork skills. During this 8 week class, students will play theatre games and use the foundational improv concept of “Yes, and…!” to build on each others’ ideas and generate dozens of new stories every time they meet. Intro to Improv for Kids meets Tuesdays from 6PM -7PM.

Woodland Fairies! will guide students through an exploration of performing arts while they are immersed in an imaginative world of fairies for four Saturdays this spring. From learning fairy plays and songs to making fairy houses outside in the park, students will explore the many ways they can use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to tell magical stories about fairies. Woodland Fairies! will meet Saturdays from 10AM -11AM on April 29 – May 20.

Both classes are for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade and taught by Jennifer Bennett.
