Madeline’s Rescue Cast visits LPL with Tailwagging Readers

Madeline’s Rescue cast members received a warm welcome by little readers, darling dogs and charming staff members at the Lawrence Public Library today! The delightful story time included a reading of Madeline’s Rescue by Lawrence Ballet Theatre Artistic Director Cindy Crews, dancing by the performers and young readers, hands on art activities, and, of course… lots of tail wagging. The library’s Tailwagging Reading Program invites children to read out loud to registered therapy dogs from Loving Paws Animal Therapy as a way for kids K-5 to practice reading and build confidence. We were thrilled to join them today and are looking forward to the School of Dance production of Madeline’s Rescue this Saturday, November 12. Tix now on sale here.
