Summer Youth Theatre intern students will learn what it takes to become future theatre leaders. This program will provide students with opportunities for professional skill-building, resume’ building, and collegiate audition preparation. Students can specialize in the area that they are most interested in: stage management, technical theatre, directing, marketing, teaching, acting, etc. Students will receive at least one production assignment each. Weekly mandatory meetings will be held Mondays during June & July, from Noon to 1pm.
The Summer Youth Theatre Internship Program is based on building leadership skills. Students will learn leadership skills through group discussion, constructive critique, and hands on experience. Some leadership skills that students will learn include: organization, communication, team building, giving and receiving feedback, problem solving, decision making, time management, self-motivation, delegation, and strategic thinking.
