The EyeDoctors Optometrists of Lawrence – Dr. John Harvat, Dr. Erin Hamilton, Dr. Jayme Brown
Thank you, EyeDoctors!
The EyeDoctors have been serving Northeast Kansas for more than 40 years, with a commitment to providing outstanding professional care to their patients. With 18 locations around Northeast Kansas, they have become an important an integral part of the communities they serve, whether by providing free eye glasses locally to those who would not otherwise be able to afford them, or by financially supporting community non-profits like the Lawrence Arts Center.
For the last seven years, the EyeDoctors of Lawrence have played an essential role in the growth and sustainability of the Lawrence Arts Center. Whether supporting our Art Auction as the signature sponsor, providing much needed support to our Free State Festival, or enabling us to host the 2016 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) Pre-Conference, the EyeDoctors made each of these events possible with their financial support.
More than just a financial partner, EyeDoctors founder Brian Horsch served on the Lawrence Arts Center Board of Directors for six years. Brian also found a place to pursue his passion and talent in our ceramics studio, and was able to perfect his technique by learning from our teaching artists, and through opportunities to work with internationally renowned ceramicists featured at our bi-annual Ceramics Symposium. His hand built and thrown ceramic sculptures are now exhibited throughout Kansas and Missouri, and he will be a featured artist as part of the 2016 NCECA conference in Kansas City this month.
