2016 Annual Art Auction Online Bidding

Bidding for The 2016 Benefit Art Auction has ended. Find the 2017 Art Benefit Auction here.

In addition to bidding on-site in the galleries and the night of the live auction, we are so pleased to share with you our new 2016 Annual Art Auction online bidding page.  It can be found here:

This page is where visitors can see all the pieces featured at the auction this year and bid.  Bids are updated daily.  Bids can be submitted via auction@lawrenceartscenter.org (there is also a link on the page).

In order to accept a bid via email, we need the lot number (Example: S-15), the artist’s name, amount of bid, and your phone number.  An opening bid bust be at minimum 50% of retail value listed. Bid increase increments, minimum $20.  Double the retail price and win the piece outright!

Items with numbers beginning with “L” will be sold in our live auction April 32rd. Winning bidders who are not present at the live auction event will be notified by email.

Please spread the word!  If you are interested in attending the auction April 23rd, contact our Front Office at 785-843-2787 for registration and ticketing information.  We hope to see you there!

Established by artists in 1981 as a way to fund a not-for-profit gallery, the Lawrence Arts Center Annual Art Auction provides funding for the exhibitions program now occupying five spaces in the Arts Center and enriched by Art Talks, films, and more.  Approximately 150 pieces generously donated by artists will be on exhibit for four weeks to be auctioned during the April 23 auction event.  Bidding on auction works is an opportunity to support exhibitions at the Lawrence Arts Center – all proceeds of sales go toward continuing to support the program.
