Amy Albright graduated from the University of Kansas School of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in textile design in 1988. Growing up around the typesetting/printing business, she spent many hours recycling discarded galleys of type, scraps of line tape and rubylith into paste up designs for imaginary publications, and later working on actual publications. She was thrilled to get her hands on a Mac in 1989, and has been freelance designing with Adobe software since 1998. Additional past experience includes non-profit fundraising, website design, and marketing. Amy came to the Lawrence Arts Center as a parent volunteer in 2010 to take on the weekly eblast and was hired to stay on full time as marketing director and graphic designer. Since 2014, she has been able to concentrate her efforts on designing Arts Center materials for print and web. She and her husband own and operate Vinland Valley Nursery, and have three amazing daughters.
